Original 35mm Color Slides

The photographs in this collection were taken by Earl Waggoner in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They were taken with a 35mm Lica camera on 35mm Kodak color film. Because of their age and the fact that they had been view through a slide projector some of the images were scratched and some had discolored. Using digital techniques the images have been restored to their original condition prior to printing. Every attempt has been made to print the images exactly as the would have been seen if projected onto a screen when they were taken.
Because computer monitors vary in quality and color balance and because of internet requirements the images you see on line are less than the print quality you will receive when you purchase an Earl Waggoner photograph.

Our Prints

Earl Waggoner photographs are available as high gloss archival prints, canvas prints, and watercolor giclee prints. Photographs on these "archival" (acid free) media are printed with pigmented inks (as opposed to vegetable dyes) that are resistant to moisture and ultraviolet degradation. Canvas prints are coated with additional UV protection. Paper, canvas and ink manufacturers specify that these inks and media can be expected to last 75 years and even longer when placed behind glass or out of direct sunlight.

High gloss archival photographic prints are of the highest quality. The resolution is superb and the effect is stunning! You cannot purchase a higher quality commercial photographic print.

Canvas print are printed "wrap around" so that the image wraps around the outside edge of the stretcher bar so they can be stretched and hung without framing. Or they can be mounted on masonite and framed.

Watercolor prints have a 1.5 inch border around the print area and are "deckled" (torn edge) so that they can "float" inside a framed mounting. Watercolor prints are appear "softer" because the paper absorbs ink more ink than gloss or mat paper.

We also offer mat paper prints that are printed with ultraviolet resistant inks on acid free paper with an expected lifetime of 30 years or more. This lifetime will be doubled if the prints are mounted and framed behind glass.

Custom prints on various media are also available. Please "contact us" for more information.
